Day 1: Ascent to Refugio Motoco

We start the day with a morning transfer from your accommodation to the trailhead. The path, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, will take you through native forests and offer panoramic views. Along the way, you'll enjoy a delicious packed lunch while marveling at the natural surroundings. Upon arrival at Refugio Motoco, nestled in a prime location, you'll have the chance to unwind and prepare for a restful night in this cozy mountain refuge.

Day 2: Exploration of the Alerzal and Return

After breakfast, we’ll head to the impressive Alerzal, an area rich in native vegetation and biodiversity. During the visit, our expert guides will provide detailed insights into the local flora, fauna, and geography. By midday, we’ll begin our return journey to El Bolsón, where a transfer will take you back to your accommodation, concluding this unforgettable experience.

The overnight stay at the refuge is subject to availability because a reservation cant be done
Sleeping Bag
It is essential to bring a sleeping bag, because the shelter does not provide bedding.
Trekking clothing
We recommend bringing: Comfortable and resistant pants (preferably trekking pants that can dry quickly). Breathable long and short sleeve t-shirts (depending on weather conditions). Additional layers like a sweatshirt or light jacket to protect you from wind or cold, especially in the early morning or evening.
Accessories
We recommend bringing: Sunglasses with UV protection. Sunscreen. Small backpack to carry water, snacks and your personal belongings. Trekking poles (optional but useful to help you on uneven terrain).
Footwear
We recommend wearing: Trekking boots or comfortable but resistant shoes, preferably waterproof and with good ankle support.
Dinner
The overnight stay at the shelter includes the use of the kitchen. The refuge also offers dinner
