Overview

Embark on an exciting trekking adventure on Cerro La Mona, located in the picturesque Villa La Angostura. This tour offers a complete experience with transfers from a central meeting point to the trailhead and the company of an experienced mountain guide.

The journey begins with a transfer to Camping Espejo Chico, where the trail starts just 500 meters before reaching the camping area, on the right-hand side. The first part of the trek, which lasts about two hours, takes you through a lush forest of coihue trees and follows the creek. During this stage, the terrain is relatively easy, allowing you to enjoy a unique natural setting.

As you progress, you will encounter a sandy area. Here, it's crucial to follow the red markers guiding you to the summit of Cerro La Mona. The second part of the trail becomes more challenging, with steeper and more demanding terrain. This stage culminates in a beautiful waterfall approximately 15 meters high, which is the highlight of this excursion.

The trail is clearly divided into two stages: the first, more accessible and of low difficulty, and the second, which becomes more strenuous due to the steep terrain and slopes you must navigate. At the end of the route, you will be rewarded with a stunning waterfall and a panoramic view that makes the effort worthwhile.

Once you complete the hike, a transfer will take you back to the center of Villa La Angostura, where you can relax and reflect on this unforgettable Patagonia experience. Get ready for a unique adventure in one of Argentina's most beautiful corners!
