Day trekking to Frey refuge

This trekking experience, ideal for nature and adventure lovers, will take you through stunning landscapes and varied terrain, all under the expert guidance of a mountain professional.

The adventure begins with our transportation service, which will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the trailhead. At the Cerro Catedral parking lot, you'll start a hike that initially follows a path shared with a vehicular route, but you'll soon find yourself immersed in the tranquility of the Patagonian forest.

The trail becomes increasingly enchanting as it winds alongside the Arroyo Van Titter. During the approximately 6-kilometer trek, you'll pass by Refugio Piedritas, a perfect spot to take a brief break and enjoy the natural surroundings. As you continue, the terrain becomes steeper, but every step is rewarded with spectacular views of the region.

After crossing the Arroyo Van Titter once more, you'll reach Refugio Emilio Frey, a charming refuge located by the shores of Laguna Toncek. Here, you can relax and enjoy a food service while marveling at the alpine scenery that surrounds you.

After a well-deserved rest, you'll begin the descent along the same trail, returning to the starting point with unforgettable memories of this unique adventure.
