Roca Negra refuge - Cerro Lopez lunch time

Morning Schedule – Lunch 10:00 AM / 4:30 PM: Cheese fondue and dessert.

Passengers will be picked up at predetermined pickup points and driven to the base of Cerro López. From there, we begin the ascent in 4x4 vehicles along a rugged mountain road amidst ancient Coihue forests and towering lenga trees. The curves of the road serve as natural viewpoints overlooking the vastness of Nahuel Huapi National Park, with its lakes, islands, and mountains. After taking the first photographs, we start our hike. We equip ourselves with snowshoes, and our guide explains how to use them and walk with them. Snowshoes are devices that attach to our footwear and allow us to walk on snowy terrain without sinking. During the hike (approximately one hour), the guide tells us about the area, and we enjoy the natural beauty that this mountain has to offer. After the hike, we are warmly welcomed at Roca Negra, where we enjoy a cheese fondue. There, atop the mountain with an excellent view of the region, we share our lunch. We descend in 4x4 vehicles back to the base of the hill, where the excursion ends and passengers are taken to their respective hotels.
