Trekking in the Pehuenes forest

We walk through the ancient Araucaria forest, a magical environment with the latest snowfalls. A trek that invites us to perceive the wonderful panoramic view, observing Lake Aluminé, Paso del Arco, and the village of Villa Pehuenia. Our goal is to reach our exclusive mountain dome. A unique refuge that allows us to enjoy the necessary comforts for your experience to be unique. We undertake a trek of low to moderate intensity in snowy terrain with the aim of exploring the Araucaria forest and reaching the "Che Hueny" refuge located at 1500 meters above sea level.

Walking time: 2.30 hours ascent and 1.15 hours descent (depending on terrain conditions).

Total activity duration: 5 to 6 hours.

Difficulty: Low to Moderate.

What to bring?

The necessary equipment (technical gear is crucial for activity safety and varies depending on the weather):

ü Sunglasses (with UV protection)

ü Buff or similar neck gaiter

ü 1 pair of gloves (thin layer)

ü 1 synthetic or similar t-shirt (not cotton)

ü 1 pair of socks

ü 1 fleece or similar jacket

ü 1 waterproof jacket or similar shell

ü Down jacket or warm coat

ü Hat with visor

ü Sunscreen and lip balm

ü Container with 1 liter of water per person
