Trekking to Cerro Colorado

Transfer and Preparations: The day begins with a comfortable transfer from the center of San Martín de los Andes to the trailhead. On our transport, you will enjoy a scenic drive that will take you to the base of Cerro Colorado, where the hike starts.

The Trail: Once at the trailhead, we will start the hike through a forest of lenga and ñire trees, providing shade and coolness as we progress. The trail becomes steeper as we ascend, but the views revealed at every step make the effort worthwhile.

Over approximately 4 hours of trekking, we will traverse various landscapes, from forested areas to more open sections that provide panoramic views of the valley and surrounding peaks. As we climb higher, the terrain becomes rockier and more demanding, but it is well-marked, making navigation easier.

Rest and Reward: At the summit, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of Lake Lácar, the San Martín de los Andes valley, and the impressive Andes mountains. Here, we will take a break to enjoy a snack and a hot drink, providing you with the comfort needed before beginning the descent.

Return: After our break at the summit, we will start the descent back to the starting point. The return to the center of San Martín de los Andes will be by the provided transport, concluding the day with comfort and satisfaction.
