Overview

Get ready for an exciting adventure with our trek to the summit of Cerro O'Connor. The journey begins at the Manzano estate, located along Route National 40. From here, we will head to the Mirador del Lago farm, where the trailhead is at the end of the road.

At this initial stage, we will cross a wire gate and find the trailhead sign. The first part of the hike is a gentle walk through a beautiful coihue forest, following the course of a stream. This section is perfect for acclimating and enjoying the tranquility of the natural surroundings.

As we progress, the trail divides into two distinct sections. The first stage is relatively easy and suitable for most hikers, leading us to a cattle guard marking the entrance to the National Park. From this point, the difficulty increases. The second stage features more demanding terrain, with a steep incline and a climb up a slope that leads us to the summit of the mountain.

Reaching the summit of Cerro O'Connor rewards us with breathtaking panoramic views, offering a unique perspective of the region. There we will enjoy a lunch to recover energy. This challenging trek provides an opportunity to deeply connect with nature and enjoy spectacular landscapes as we ascend to the peak.
